Snow began to fall Thursday night around 6 p.m. and quickly covered roadways. Maumee City Schools Superintendent Dr. Todd Cramer says it s always a challenge monitoring the forecast and making that call. He say he ll be up early Friday morning around 5 a.m. with his team to start looking at the roads and sidewalks.

(WSFA) - Tallassee is getting a new high school. Construction started a few weeks ago, but on Tuesday city school leaders and town officials made it official with a groundbreaking ceremony. Construction is taking place right next door to the current Tallassee High School building, a nearly 100-year-old structure that officials say has served its purpose and is in need of replacement. Coronavirus pandemic impacts lives, changes way of living for many ATLANTA The coronavirus pandemic was responsible for nearly 80 million reported illnesses worldwide in December 2020. But, the illness, named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO), actually began in 2019. Health experts first identified the virus in Wuhan, China. Although many people reported little to no symptoms, some have reported severe illness. Around 1.72 deaths have been attributed to coronavirus. A person can remain infectious for up to two weeks after catching COVID-19.
