Mumbai s Jaslok Hospital converted into COVID-19 facility ANI | Updated: Apr 15, 2021 11:15 IST Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 15 (ANI): The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has converted the privately-owned Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai into a dedicated facility for COVID-19 patients. The hospital will no longer admit non-COVID patients, said Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The Municipal Commissioner of BMC Iqbal Chahal in an official statement said that the additional 250 COVID beds in Jaslok Hospital will come online on BMC dashboard (including 40 ICU beds) by Saturday morning. In addition to this, 30 more ICU beds are being added in SevenHills Hospital today. 1,500 additional beds will be added in NESCO Jumbo centre within 7 days, the Municipal Commissioner added.

Zomato co-founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal took to Twitter Wednesday night, taking a dig at rival Swiggy while asking for clarity on food delivery rules in Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had on Tuesday announced a curfew in the state starting Wednesday 8 pm, except for essential services. “Zomato is prepared to provide the essential food delivery service post 8pm in Mumbai, but we are not doing so because we are abiding by the letter of the law. I see our competition is continuing to operate post 8pm. I urge @MumbaiPolice to please clarify the way forward here,” Goyal tweeted.
