Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has covered over 1.80 lakh households as part of the ongoing door-to-door fever survey in the area.
As per the press release, 720 teams covered 53,002 homes on Friday, and survey teams referred 18,772 people with fever symptoms to Basthi Dawakhanas and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) for Covid tests.
Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi held a summary meeting at the GHMC headquarters on Friday to track Covid containment measures. The Mayor ordered the entomology wing to begin intensive disinfectant spraying during the meeting.
She also urged people to get screened if they are experiencing symptoms and to take advantage of the free phone support. On Friday, the Control Room received 190 calls, with doctors and staff members answering questions about Covid-19.

As per the orders of Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, a door-to-door survey has been taken up in the GHMC limits. A total of 641 teams, comprising field-level workers from the GHMC and the Health Department, covered 40,000 households in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits.
A total of 1,487 individuals were found to have fever and other Covid-19 symptoms. The individuals were given Covid kits and have been advised to stay in home isolation.
The teams of field level workers comprise an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA), and an official from the Entomology wing of the GHMC.

The Madurai Corporation and the Indian Red Cross jointly the organised distribution of kabasura kudineer across the city on Saturday.
Commissioner S. Visagan, who launched the distribution at the MGR Bus stand in Maatuthavani, told reporters that the herbal concoction was being given at the 80 containment zones covered in the four zones of Madurai Corporation. He appealed to the residents in these containment zones to stay indoors and help the frontline workers in fighting the virus effectively.

Mysore/Mysuru: Owing to shortage of
COVID-19 vaccine, the State Government is learnt to have decided to stop supplying vaccines to Private Hospitals from tomorrow.
So, there will no be free vaccination at Private Hospital sites.
There will be no on-the-spot registration for even 45 years- plus beneficiaries from tomorrow and they must register online if they are taking first dose.
Besides, the vaccine stock remaining in those Private Hospitals will be withdrawn by this evening and will be used in the Government facilities.
