NEWARK Licking Memorial Health Systems recently dedicated its physical rehabilitation facility at 1717 West Main Street as a tribute to the late Gib Reese, renaming it The Gib Reese Center for Physical Rehabilitation.
The center offers space for physical, occupational and speech therapy for patients of all ages. The 24 therapists on staff assist patients with various diagnoses, including musculoskeletal repairs or neurological issues, such as a stroke or traumatic brain injury.
Licking Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Services moved to the new facility in June 2019.
The dedication event allowed LMHS to publicly thank Reese’s wife, Louella and the entire family for her founder level donation in memory of Gib Reese. Founders are individuals and businesses whose generosity meets or exceeds the $100,000 level of giving to LMHS.
