Latino Theater Company Streams Cara Mía Theatre s World Premiere Production Of Tragically Relevant URSULA

L.A.'s Latino Theater Company is partnering with Cara Mía Theatre in Dallas, TX to stream Cara Mia's world premiere production of Ursula, written, performed and directed by Mexican-born theater artist Frida Espinosa Müller. Müller's extraordinary performance as an unaccompanied minor arriving at the U.S.-Mexican border will stream on demand from May 20 through May 30.

Washington St., is hosting Yoga with Allison and bike packing with Brandon from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 8. Yoga is scheduled for 9-9:45 a.m., followed by bike packing from 10 a.m. to noon. SPO welcomes storied writer and adventurer Brandon Weaver. The kennels are over capacity and every one needs cleaning/sanitizing in addition to the other morning chores. Volunteers are needed to help with dishes, laundry, cleaning outside yards, feeding dogs/cats, replacing bedding, and just some good old-fashioned TLC.

The exhibit features aprons dating from the 1900s through the present, chronicling the changing attitudes toward women and domestic work. It also surveys the wide range of design and craft techniques apron-makers have used to express themselves, while still working within creative venues traditionally available to women. Apron Strings is organized into several thematic groups that address design, historical context, use, and cultural message. Text panels and labels provide general background for each theme.
