Pakistanis in UAE opt for digital account to pay bills back home

Pakistanis in the UAE and Gulf are opening Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) and buying Naya Pakistan Certificates in “large numbers”, a top official has said.
On December 10, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said inward remittances from overseas Pakistanis into the RDA rose to $7.7 million their highest ever daily amount.
To date, total inward remittances into the RDA have reached $139.4 million, with $81 million invested in Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPC).

Inward remittances into RDA have reached $154.6 million: SBP
KARACHI (Dunya News) – State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that inward remittances from overseas Pakistani into Roshan Digital Account touched another daily high with inflows of $11.2 million on Dec 11, 2020.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday said, “To this date, total inward remittances into RDA have reached $154.6 million, with $88.7 million invested in Naya Pakistan Certificates.”
Roshan Digital Account is a major initiative for overseas Pakistanis by the State Bank of Pakistan together with commercial banks operating in Pakistan.
