Prime Minister chairs review meeting on Ravi City project

Prime Minister Imran Khan has chaired a review meeting on Ravi Urban Development Authority and Central Business District projects in Islamabad on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismael, Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Lt General (R) Anwar Ali Hayder, Chairman Ravi Urban Development Authority Rashid Aziz and others.
The participants were given a detailed briefing on the latest progress on these projects. It was told that request for proposals from two companies have so far been received for Ravi city project.
The project will be equally beneficial for federal as well as provincial governments.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to take measures on emergency basis to end fraud with the people, especially exploitation of overseas Pakistanis, in illegal housing projects and constructions.
Chairing weekly meeting of the National Coordination Committee for Housing, Construction and Development in Islamabad on Thursday, he said a common man is deprived of his life-long earnings through these illegal housing schemes, which needs to be stopped immediately.
The Prime Minister said protection of citizens interest, especially the poor, in construction activities is top priority of the government.
Haloki declared suitable for NPHS flats
LDA governing body approved construction of 4,000 residential units in first phase

After a preliminary survey and environmental impact assessment, Punjab Environment Protection Department has declared Haloki area suitable for construction of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHS) apartments.
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) had sought opinion from the provincial environment department, as required by the law, for construction of LDA City Naya Pakistan Housing Residential Apartments. The authority wants to construct 4,000 residential apartments under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s flagship housing scheme.
The LDA governing body recently approved construction of 4,000 residential units with an estimated cost of Rs10 billion in Haloki in the first phase.

Speaking to a private television channel during his visit to North Waziristan on Wednesday, which was aired on Friday night, Prime Minister Khan said the country could not afford more loans to keep petroleum prices at the minimum benchmark.
He said devaluation of rupee had impacted prices of petroleum products, pulses, ghee and other imported items, which gave rise to inflation.
