Tributes to Cromer crab fisherman Christopher Craske

Their grandchildren are George, 18, William, 16, Lewis, 13 and Nicola, nine.  Mr Craske joined Cromer s RNLI station when he was 17 and he was a lifeboatman for 39-and-a-half years, until a heart attack forced him to quit in 1999.  Christopher Craske, centre, with fellow Cromer lifeboatmen. - Credit: Supplied by the family He crewed both the station s inshore and off-shore lifeboats, and in 1981 he received an award - along with crewmate Frank Muirhead - for the rescue of two local fishermen.  For a couple of years Mr Craske worked on ships supplying offshore gas rigs, but he soon returned to the fisherman s life.  Mrs Craske said: His love of the beach and crab fishing was a better deal as far as he was concerned, and he wanted to be with his family.

Pic: Archant - Credit: Archant A Norfolk hospital is on course to finish its vaccination programme by the start of summer, having already distributed more than 50,000 jabs.  The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital was one of the first vaccination hubs announced by the government to open in December and unless asked to vaccinate any further cohorts, may not be needed from June 6. Chris Cobb, chief operating officer, told a meeting of the trust s board it was the current thinking the hub would not be needed past the summer. As of Tuesday, the hospital has carried out 50,000 vaccinations, of those, 32,000 are first doses and 18,000 second doses.

And the rainbow which changes colour and stands 2.4ms high and 5.8ms wide in Chantry Square is there with a fundraising aim. Lucy Weavers, nurse director at Jenny Lind Children s Hospital, with the new fundraising neon rainbow which has been installed by Chantry Place.
