Two workers hurt in chemical spill at GE Healthcare in Westborough WESTBOROUGH Two employees of GE Healthcare Life Sciences were injured Thursday morning as a result of 200 gallons of combustible liquid that spilled at the facility at 14 Walkup Drive. One person suffered chemical burn injuries that were considered non life-threatening, and the other was hurt in a fall while evacuating the area, according to Fire Chief Patrick Purcell. Firefighters went to the building after the Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call just before 7 a.m. The Fire Department contacted a state hazardous materials team to help, and the chemical was determined to be a combustible liquid, Purcell said.
