Shah will reportedly pay a visit to Koch royal heir Ananta Rai at Bongaigaon during his visit, will be accompanied by Assam CM and Himanta Biswa Sarma.

GUWAHATI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Assam once again on February 11. This will be the second visit of the Union Home Minister to the election-bound Assam in the last fortnight.
As per sources, Amit Shah would be not only visiting here but also to the neighbouring state of West Bengal that goes to polls soon along with Assam.

NEW DELHI: Microblogging site- Twitter aid in a blog post that it won t block the accounts of politicians, journalists and activists in India.
It is to be mentioned that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) had requested to block certain profiles on national interests.

GUWAHATI: In view of rapidly declining cases of COVID-19 cases in India along with the state of Assam, the state government has decided to discontinue mandatory testing at railway stations, land routes and airports effective from March 1, 2021.
In a Tweet, the Assam State Health Minister Himanata Biswa Sarma wrote, In view of rapidly declining cases of #COVID19 & given that vaccination is in full swing, GoA has decided to discontinue mandatory testing at rly stations, land routes & airports from March 1, 2021. It s expected however that people would adhere to #Covid appropriate behaviour.

NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party s (BJP) MP Gautam Gambhir on February 9 started his second Jan Rasoi canteen at New Ashok Nagar in his East Delhi constituency.
The canteen at New Ashok Nagar will serve lunch to 50 persons at a time.
It is to be mentioned that the former cricketer turned politician had earlier started a canteen in Gandhinagar on December 24, where up to 1,000 people are served every day.
