EURO 2020: No victory party for England fans until SEPTEMBER if Gareth Southgate s win Euro 2020

Share Mass events remain prohibited until July 19 - unless they are part of the Government s Events Research Programme - by which point all of Southgate s players will be on holiday. Given the players have not spent more than a few fleeting moments at the end of matches at Wembley with their families since the start of June, the FA will not ask them to return early for any reason.  Therefore, any big celebration will have to wait for nearly two months. Southgate s England are due to take on Denmark in their semi-final clash on Wednesday night Fans will be in attendance at Wembley but the FA have opted against attempting a mass event later on in this month if they progress on and win the entire tournament this summer

Government set to allow full capacity stadiums in England starting July 19

Government set to allow full capacity stadiums in England starting July 19 Share this story Photo by Chris Lee - Chelsea FC/Chelsea FC via Getty Images The Premier League had been hoping to be able to begin next season with full stadiums after a season and a half of them largely standing empty, and it looks like those hopes might not have been in vain. As per the latest guidance from the government, England are set to ease pandemic restrictions to practically nothing come July 19, including allowing for full capacity stadiums without mask mandates or vaccine passports, even. These proposed guidelines are subject to final review on July 12 based on “latest available data”. Given the latest surge in cases in the country thanks to the delta variant, that review could potentially delay the reopening date, though it sounds like the government wants to push ahead unless something drastic happens in the meantime.
