The Quietus | News | Only 15 People Test Positive For COVID-19 After UK Pilot Events

Christian Eede , May 24th, 2021 13:23 Around 58,000 people attended a series of events last month as part of the UK government s Events Research Programme Only 15 out of a possible 58,000 people have so far tested positive for COVID-19 following the UK government s Events Research Programme, The Telegraph reports. The publication s report cites multiple government sources for the number of positive cases. Those who went to the events were asked to return PCR tests following their attendance, but it should be noted that not all of those who went to the events returned tests. The events included the BRITs, the FA Cup final and two 3,000-capacity raves in Liverpool that featured DJs such as The Blessed Madonna and Jayda G. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to share full results from the Events Research Programme in the coming weeks, but preliminary reports shared last week suggested that the emerging data was positive.
