Wood Dale to hold citywide Memorial Day Parade On Monday, May 31, Wood Dale s citywide Memorial Day Parade will travel through the neighborhoods between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Courtesy of City of Wood Dale     Updated 5/27/2021 1:03 PM This year, the City of Wood Dale will be bringing the annual Memorial Day Parade to you. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 31, a shortened parade will travel through the streets of Wood Dale to commemorate the day.   The parade will start and end near the city hall on Wood Dale Road. It will pass through various neighborhoods on the west side of Wood Dale Road before noon, then continue through streets east of Wood Dale Road after noon.

I expected this news, since the holiday weekend is upon us, and there was no talk of it. This is the 2nd year in a row that one of the area s largest Memorial Day Parades won t be happening, due to lingering COVID-19 concerns. The Mayor told me, The parade committee had to cancel this year again, but, we are moving forward with our 4th of July concert and fireworks this year.
