OAKLAND, CA Bradley Zimmer was called upon to bat lead off with Cesar Hernandez receiving the day off, and he made a statement. The Cleveland center fielder jumped on the first pitch of the game, sending it over the center field wall. Zimmer ripped a 2-out RBI single in the top half of the 9th inning to give the Indians the all important insurance run. Bullpen veteran Bryan Shaw shut the door on the Indians to secure a 4-2 win over the Athletics, taking the three game weekend set.
