Promising COVID treatment now available to residents at Gracedale, county officials say

County Executive Lamont McClure and Gracedale Administrator Jennifer Stewart-King announced the new initiative Thursday.
Developed by Eli Lilly and Co., the treatment is called bamlanivimab and is being administered under an emergency use authorization issued last Nov. 9 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Gracedale staff will be working with St. Luke’s University Health Network and Advanced PICC Support to administer the treatment, according to a news release from the county.
Northampton County secures $9.1 million to combat homelessness

Northampton County is receiving $9.1 million from the U.S. Department of the Treasury to combat homelessness.
County Executive Lamont McClure and the Department of Community and Economic Development announced the reward on Tuesday. The DCED will use the funding to continue Community Mediation and Eviction Diversion Program to prevent tenant and homeowner eviction, according to a press release from the county.
The program offers experienced mediators, emergency financial assistance and rapid rehousing to prevent homelessness. Housing services are free to low-to-moderate income households and owners of rental units housing low-to-moderate income tenants.
