Man Who Stormed Capitol Threatened To Assassinate Democrat AOC 01/24/21 AT 10:27 AM A Texas man who participated in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6 was charged Saturday. He had made death threats against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. Garret Miller, 36, from the Dallas suburb of Richardson, was arrested Wednesday after weeks of using social media platforms to reply to various political figures with bellicose statements and discussing his actions in the attack. According to court documents, Miller threatened the police officer who shot one of the rioters. On Jan. 6, Ocasio-Cortez shared a tweet that read, “Impeach.”  “Assassinate AOC,” Miller replied using his now-suspended Twitter account.
