Pasay City Police Chief Col. Cesar Paday-os identified the two as John Albert Antonio, 22 alias “Jan-Jan” and Catherine Antonio, 40, alias “Cathy,” both residents of No. 577 Ventanilla Street, Barangay 124, Zone 12, Pasay City.
Members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Pasay City conducted the drug sting operation at around 12:30 in the morning at the residence of the Antonios which led to their arrest.
Police recovered 40 pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.
The seized items weighing 16.45 grams have an estimated value of P111,860 and were turned over to the Crime Laboratory of the Southern Police District while the two are now under the custody of the SDEU.
Elements of the Northern Police District (NPD) arrested a high-value-target, who yielded more than 5 kilos of shabu worth P34.6 million Thursday morning in Caloocan City.

Gen. Debold Sinas, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said Nuezca used to be a member of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit and as an anti-narcotics operative, he was involved in various police operations amid the aggressive drug war.
“The two homicide cases were drug-related. They conducted raids and there were incidents that the suspects fight back,” said Sinas.
He said the motu-propio investigation of the Internal Affairs Service (IAS) found no substantial evidence against Nuezca and other members of the SDEU, leading to the dismissal of the two cases last year.
Nuezca was re-assigned to the PNP Crime Laboratory based in Parañaque City.
