BACOLOD CITY – The Police Regional Office (PRO) – Western Visayas is investigating a police officer from Negros Occidental who tested positive for use of illegal drugs.
Brig. Gen. Rolando Miranda, PRO-Western Visayas director, said he has alerted the Internal Affairs Service (IAS) to investigate and file a case against a police corporal assigned to a police station in the province.
Miranda, who visited the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) in Bacolod City on Tuesday, said they are sincere in their campaign to clean their ranks.
Lt. Abegael Donasco, NOCPPO’s deputy public information officer, said the policeman was disarmed and was placed under restricted custody.
