Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 18 (ANI): A 12-year-old daughter of a Naval sailor Madan Rai created history by swimming from Bandra-Worli Sea Link to Gateway of India, a distance of 36 kilometres, in 8 hours and 40 minutes.
The young girl Jiya Rai, a known case of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dedicated the swimming feat, completed on Wednesday, to raise awareness about Autism, a statement released by the Ministry of Defence said.

New Delhi, Jan 21 (PTI) The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) on Thursday signed an agreement with its South African counterpart to further jointly develop the sport and water polo in the two countries. The agreement will see South African and Indian teams participate in joint training camps and and compete against each other. The agreement builds on the informal arrangements that have existed between the two federations for a number of years with swimmers from India training with the South African head coach Graham Hill, an SFI release said.
