Trigg residents invited to become advocates for youth

Trigg and Caldwell counties are slated to be targeted next as part of an effort to establish a Court Appointed Special Advocate program in counties across the commonwealth. The two counties are now the only ones in western Kentucky that do not have such a program, noted Stephanie Moss, who is the CASA program director for CASA of West Kentucky. Moss’ organization serves Ballard, McCracken, Livingston and Lyon counties and just expanded into the latter two counties on Feb. 24, when trained CASA volunteers for Livingston and Lyon were sworn in on that day by District Judge Natalie White. White is a judge in Livingston, Lyon, Caldwell and Trigg counties.
