Warren Buffett said on Saturday that the U.S. economy is faring far better than he might have predicted early in the coronavirus pandemic, benefiting his conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
Speaking at Berkshireâs annual meeting, Buffett said the economy has been âresurrected in an extraordinarily effective wayâ by monetary stimulus from the Federal Reserve and fiscal stimulus from the U.S. Congress.

âIt did the job,â and 85% of the economy is running in âsuper high gear,â Buffett said.
Warren Buffett s Berkshire Hathaway Inc will hold its annual meeting on May 1 in Los Angeles. As in 2020, the meeting will be held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vice Chairman Charlie Munger, a Californian who missed the 2020 meeting, held in Omaha, Nebraska, will rejoin Buffett on stage to answer 3-1/2 hours of shareholder questions.
