Nebraska’s share of the settlement will be around $100 million over the next 18 years, A.G spokeswoman Suzanne Gage said Thursday. The money will help bring desperately needed relief to people across the country who are struggling with opioid addiction, Peterson said in the announcement. The settlement was with the three major U.S. distributors Cardinal, McKesson, and Amerisource/Bergen – as well as Johnson & Johnson, which manufactured opioids as well as marketed them.
