A couple who got married of their own choice a year and a half ago were shot dead by the woman’s brothers in Jaranwala tehsil.
According to the police report, Zafar Iqbal Naz, a resident of Chak No. 553GB stating that his brother Shahid Iqbal and his wife Iram Bibi had come to Jaranwala for personal work and were riding back on a rickshaw when the suspect Zeeshan Shah, Abrar Shah and their brother Ali Raza along with their accomplices including Shahid Nadeem, Waqar Shah and others came on a motorcycle and shot both of them, leaving them dead on the spot.

The father of a differently-abled girl, who was killed in the Sandal Bar area, had turned out to be her killer.
The three year old girl, who was deaf and mute, was thrown into a canal where she breathed her last. After finding the body of the minor girl in Gojra, the police arrested her father and started the investigation process. Police registered a case under Section 363 PPC.
The girl named Kashaf was buried in her ancestral graveyard in the presence of hundreds of mourners.
Quarrel over ‘improper’ medication turns deadly
Police apprehend four suspects for shocking dual murder

Two men were shot dead in a quarrel that erupted over alleged ‘improper medicines’ suggested by a health practitioner on Monday.
Police reached the spot on information, took the bodies into their custody and sent them for an autopsy. They also arrested four suspects accused of conducting the dual murder.
Sources said Rahim Gujjar had an altercation with Dr Sunni Malik at Jhang Road 67 JB Mohallah Dhup Sari for not giving ‘proper medicine’. The villagers mediated the quarrel and the matter was resolved.
However, Rahim Gujjar allegedly took the issue as a matter of insult and opened indiscriminate fire to avenge the quarrel. As a result, area resident Imran and passerby Riasat Pathan received bullet injuries.
Wife, accomplices turn out to be lawyer’s killers

The murderers of a lawyer killed in the Sandal Bar area three days ago turned out on Wednesday to be his wife and an accomplice, according to the police.
Reportedly, the victim’s wife Asma Bibi along with a cousin and another accomplice killed him during a staged robbery.
Police arrested Asma and her cousin within 48 hours and recovered the stolen jewellery and murder weapon. Relatives of the third suspect were also taken into custody and police carried out raids to arrest him.
