This is understandably so because the slow progress in getting out vaccines that could put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic, which had ravaged the global economic landscape among other things. The economy slipped into a recession in November last year when growth contracted for the second consecutive quarters by 3.62 per cent in Q3 and previously grew by-6.10 per cent in Q2.
