Unproscribe IPOB Now, Igbo Youths Tell FG, S/East Govs
Awka – Igbo Youth Stakeholders have demanded that the Federal Government and South-East Governors as a matter of urgency, unproscribe the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as a terrorist organization.
The Igbo youths are also calling for the release of all political prisoners of Igbo extraction.
This was contained in a communiqué issued after an expanded Southeast Igbo Youth Stakeholders Convention held today in Awka.
Among Igbo groups whose leaders in all five Southeast east states endorsed the communiqué, were Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Wing, National Youths Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Southeast, Nigeria Youth Congress, Southeast, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS and many others.

The Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, has dissociated itself from activities of a group known as Nigerian Youth Congress for Atiku, championing the political ambition of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The NYC, which vehemently denied any alliance with the political pressure group in a statement issued by its President, Blessing Akinlosotu in Abuja, explained that its group was non-partisan.
He said the NYC, has nothing to do with news report of January 31, 2021 with Caption, “Nigeria Badly Damaged, Broken, Needs Urgent Rescue, Atiku Says”, by group which called itself, Nigeria Youth Congress for Atiku”, as contained in the national daily.

He decried the unbearable and alarming conditions Nigerians are living with, lamenting hunger was ravaging as farmers have deserted their farms for fear of being killed.
These were contained in a statement in Abuja on Sunday by Hon. Oladimeji Fabiyi, who stood in for the Waziri Adamawa at the weekend in Gombe State during the inauguration of the leadership of the North-east zone of the Nigeria Youth Congress for Atiku.
“The hunger in the Northern Nigeria and indeed the entire country is getting to an unbearable and alarming rate as our farmers, fathers and mothers can no longer go to farm.

Former Vice President and 2019 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has said the country has been badly damaged and broken, adding that there is need for urgent rescue.
Atiku specifically lamented over what he described as hunger in the Northern Nigeria and indeed the entire country which he said is getting to an unbearable and alarming rate, saying farmers, fathers and mothers can no longer go to farm.
Speaking at the weekend in Gombe State during the inauguration of states and zonal leadership for a major youth group in the North-east zone known as Nigeria Youth Congress for Atiku, the former Vice President, who was represented by Hon Oladimeji Fabiyi, also lamented the state of insecurity in the country.
