President of the Nigeria Football Federation and FIFA Council Member, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, yesterday inaugurated the local organizing committee of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Tournament, saying that values of integrity, diligence, hard work, probity and pursuit of excellence should be the body’s watchwords.
“I want to emphasize on the need for this committee to always be conscious of the name attached to this tournament. The name of Mrs Aisha Buhari, First Lady of the Federal Republic, which is attached to this competition stands for decency, uprightness and patriotism. We should organize a tournament that upholds all these virtues and also gives credence to the stature of Nigeria as a nation of intelligent, knowledgeable and enterprising people.
NFF denied me chance to play for Romania – Fatai The Punch

Former Nigerian U-23 striker Kehinde Fatai has claimed that his dream of playing for the Romanian national team was thwarted by the Nigeria Football Federation, The PUNCH reports.
Fatai, who was capped by Nigeria at U-20 and U-23 levels, added that despite being heartbroken, he had no regrets not playing for Nigeria at senior level, after scoring four goals in seven appearances for the U-23 team and one in three games for the U-20 side.
The 31-year-old said the NFF told the Romanian FA that he was ineligible to switch allegiance as he had been listed for a 2012 Olympic Games qualifier against Tanzania. But he claimed that he did not feature in the game due to a stomach ache prior to the first leg clash in Dar Es Salam.

Ahead of the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon in 2022 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup football competition taking place in Qatar, which Nigeria will be participating, RevolutionPlus, a real estate development company, has partnered the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as their official real estate partner.
The five-year partnership deal was signed at an event, which held at the weekend in Lagos. The Group Managing Director/CEO, RevolutionPlus, Mr. Bamidele Onalaja, signed for the real estate company, while the President, Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick, signed for NFF.
The partnership seeks to address housing challenges faced by Nigerian footballers, after their active playing days.
