The federal government turned down a request by state
governors to borrow from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to augment the N50
billion federation account allocation committee (FAAC) shortfall in March.
Zainab Ahmed, minister of finance, budget and national
planning, said this while speaking on Good Morning Nigeria programme, a daily
breakfast show on the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), on Monday.
Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo state, had alleged that the
federal government printed N60 billion to support March federal allocation to
states.

What are the most memorable events of your childhood you can never forget?
I remember flying kites, going to swim at Ikpoba River in Benin City, shooting catapults with precision and bringing down every bird within sight. I also remember making toys, including aircraft and cars, using foil paper from cigarettes to build the models, covers for tyres and a reward of £1 given to me by a white man who saw my toy aircraft along our street. The Head of Advertising Sectoral Groups, HASG, has replied to the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, over his comment on fines for brands running advertorials on foreign channels.
The media decisions are driven by the consumers’ interest, passion, inspiration, and aspirations,” HASG stated.
In a Good Morning Nigeria Show on the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Lai Mohammed was quoted as saying that Nigerian brands that run adverts during foreign matches must compulsorily advertise during Nigerian Premier Football League games.
