It all started six months ago when Karima (not her real name) started coughing but mistook it for a simple case of flu. Even though Karima has a form of Tuberculosis (TB), which has been resistant to different drugs known as Multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB), she said "this cough was different."

The National Malaria Control Programme (NAMCOP) and its partners Ghana Health Service (GHS), Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research (NMIMR) and Zoomlion Ghana Limited (ZGL) have organised a one-day training workshop in Larval Source Management (LSM) for key stakeholders in the Upper East regional capital Bolgatanga.
The LSM training, which will be replicated across the country, brought together about seventy (70) health workers from ten districts in the Upper East.
The participants were equipped with knowledge and techniques in LSM, a vector control tool, targeted at mosquito breeding sites, with the aim of reducing mosquito breeding in the country.
The National Malaria Control Programme has organised a training workshop in Larval Source Management for key stakeholders in the Bolgatanga in the Upper East Regional.
