Bucks coronavirus mobile testing sites are up and running

These sites are open for use by anyone with coronavirus symptoms, and all tests must be booked first as they are not available on a ‘drop-in’ basis. Anyone with even mild symptoms is being encouraged to arrange a test to help stop the spread of the virus. Gareth Williams, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Community Engagement at Buckinghamshire Council, said: “The situation in Buckinghamshire is extremely serious at the moment and it is vital we all do our bit to stop the spread of the virus.

Greg Smith MP gives update on Bucks vaccination centres

A Bucks-based MP has provided an update on how some of the county s vaccination centres are dealing with the pandemic. Greg Smith, who is the MP for Buckingham, penned the update on his Facebook page on February 9, explaining that he is keeping in touch with medical professionals in the area for updates on the vaccination progress. He recently visited a vaccination centre in Princes Risborough last weekend. Girl, six, raises £650 for Rainbows group by running );   ); A GIRL who ran nearly 70km to raise money for her Rainbows group has received a commendation. Emelia Wilson, six, completed  2.6km every day for 26 days during the first coronavirus lockdown last year. Each day she would run a lap of RAF Benson, where she lives with her parents, Brett and Rebecca, and siblings, Oscar, four, and sister Eloise, three. She was always accompanied by one of her parents. Her father is a corporal and currently stationed in Afghanistan. The family moved to the base in July 2019 having spent the previous three years on a base in Cyprus.

UCN expanding its apprenticeship courses and training programmes );   ); IN the new year, University Centre Newbury (UCN) will be delivering a range of new courses in engineering and digital studies to benefit employers and employees in the Thames Valley region. Engineering In partnership with Buckinghamshire New University, the UCN will be delivering the postgraduate and masters degree in engineering design, starting in January 2021. The programme will cover a range of disciplines including mechanical, electrical and production engineering and can be applied for directly or studied as part of an apprenticeship. The course is designed to meet the knowledge, skills and behaviour of the Engineer Apprenticeship while deepening and broadening the learner’s knowledge and understanding in the field of engineering design.
