Hungarian FM Szijjarto Pays Official Visit to Macedonia Hungarian Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Szijjarto paid on Wednesday an official visit to Macedonia, and handed over a donation of 6,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines, which will be used for vaccination of employees in the Interior Ministry. Szijjarto was welcomed at the Skopje Airport by his Macedonian counterpart Bujar Osmani and Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski. “This donation from Hungary comes as a form of gratitude by official Budapest for the role of our border control police in handling the waves of migrants coming from North Africa and the Near East towards Central and Western Europe. The two countries of ours contributed towards the stability in Europe with their cooperation,” Osmani said. Szijjarto and Osmani also discussed the processes for the EU-integration of Macedonia, with both of them agreeing that Macedonia is a credible partner of the EU and should start the accession talks as soon as possible.
