Gradual decrease in Covid-19 cases in Punjab

July 5, 2021 LAHORE: Punjab Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Sarah Aslam has said a gradual decrease in COVID-19 infection rate has been witnessed in the province. According to a handout issued here on Sunday, during a daily review meeting of activities of Covid-19 across the Punjab, it was informed that 146 new cases have been reported, bringing the total number of cases to 346,728. Until now 327,753 patients have fully recovered across the province while the number of active cases is 8 203. In the last 24 hours, 17,406 test samples were taken while a total of 5,708,442 tests have been taken so far. In the previous 24 hours, coronavirus caused five more deaths across the province, including two in Lahore, bringing the total number of deaths to 10,772.

The province’s infection tally has risen to 346,301 and the death toll is 10,755.
