Chico City Council continues to tackle homeless crisis
The city council is calling for more help from Butte County Behavioral Health.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico leaders are asking the county to make sure the City of Chico is receiving its fair share of mental health services specifically for the homeless.
Butte County Behavioral Health has a total of over $73 million in its budget that is allocated for behavioral health services.
Protestors were outside Chico s City Council on Tuesday to urge city officials to find solutions for homeless shelters.
Chico Mayor Andrew Coolidge wants the community to know about the county s budget and where the money is spent.

Lease agreement with CHAT and Town House Motel falling through
The Chico Housing Action Team also know as (CHAT) said its deal to lease a motel is falling through.

CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Housing Action Team also know as (CHAT) said its deal to lease a motel is falling through.
CHAT wanted to eventually purchase the Town House Motel located on 2231 Esplanade near the Miller Mansion.
In February, the Chico City Council approved CHAT to use $200,000 from the state to lease the property.
Butte County supervisors commit to fund homeless shelters
Butte County supervisors will dedicate $500,000 to help the homeless into some shelter.

Lindo isn t the only person living in the City Plaza who s happy to hear help is on the way.
