Williams was one of 810 graduates in the class of 2020 at UAFS. Commencements for the class of 2021 were held May 7-9. The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith on Saturday completed a series of socially distanced commencement ceremonies to honor the 2021 graduates following last week s event for the class of 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, in-person commencement ceremonies were not held in December for the class of 2020. While close to 200 students walked the stage on May 1, there were 810 graduates in the class of 2020 who earned bachelor s degrees; 247 who earned associate degrees; 119 who earned technical certificates; and 12 who earned master s degrees.

He was a longtime bowling coach and teacher here, and a member of the First Ward club as well, so it worked out great that they wanted to do it in memory of him, and they donated the full amount. Federal grand jury brings indictments against former Minneapolis police officers who murdered George Floyd The four former Minneapolis police officers who participated in the murder of George Floyd last year were indicted on Friday by a grand jury with charges of federal civil rights crimes. Separately, Derrick Chauvin who was found guilty on April 20 of all three counts of murder for kneeling on George Floyd’s neck and causing his asphyxiation was also indicted on two counts of civil rights violations for a 2017 assault on a Minneapolis teenager. The two grand jury indictments filed in the US District Court of Minnesota were published by the US Department of Justice along with a press release that states, “The first indictment charges former Minneapolis Police Department officers Derek Chauvin, 45; Tou Thao, 35; J. Alexander Kueng, 27; and Thomas Lane, 38, with federal civil rights crimes for their roles in the death of George Perry Floyd Jr.”
