The Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), the global organisation of investors in private equity, has just announced the founding signatories of its newly launched Diversity in Action Initiative. They include some of the industry’s biggest general partners – Apax, Apollo, Blackstone, Carlyle, General Atlantic, Hellman & Friedman, KKR, Silver Lake, TPG – as well as a number of limited partner investors and pension funds. The initiative is designed to advance – and to highlight – diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within the private equity industry. It follows on the group’s diversity and inclusion roadmap published in February 2020.
