BARAGA TOWNSHIP Baraga County Deputies responded to a personal injury accident involving a pick-up truck and an SUV on U.S. 41 in Baraga Township, at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday. The crash occurred near Selkey Road. according to a release from the Baraga County Sheriff’s Office.
Initial investigation suggests a southbound pickup truck, lost control due to weather conditions, crossed the centerline, and was struck by a northbound SUV.
The pick-up truck was occupied by the driver and four passengers who were transported to Baraga County Memorial Hospital, the release states. The SUV was occupied by the driver who was also transported to BCMH. Conditions of all occupants are unknown at this time. The status of the accident remains under investigation by the Baraga County Sheriff’s Department.

All five occupants of the pickup were taken to Baraga County Memorial Hospital, as was the driver of the SUV. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The Baraga Police Department, KBIC Police Department, Michigan State Police, L’Anse and Baraga Fire and 906 Towing assisted at the scene.

BARAGA COUNTY, MI A woman who fell into Canyon Falls in Baraga County is expected to make a full recovery, after she was pulled out by bystanders.
The Baraga County Sheriff’s Office says around 11:20 a.m. on Friday they received a report a woman had fallen off a cliff at Canyon Falls Roadside Park and gone into the water. When deputies arrived, they found two “good Samaritans” had pulled her from the water.
The victim had deep lacerations on her head and possible hypothermia. She was taken to Baraga County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

BARAGA COUNTY A woman who reportedly fell from a cliff at the Canyon Falls roadside park Friday was taken to the hospital but is expected to make a full recovery, according to the Baraga County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies from the sheriff’s office responded to the Canyon Falls roadside park on Friday afternoon to a report of a woman who fell from a cliff and was in the water for an unknown amount of time.
Two people located the subject, called 911 and pulled her from the water, police said.
The subject had deep lacerations to her head and was possibly suffering from hypothermia. She was transported to Baraga County Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries and she’s expected to make a full recovery, according to a news release.
