Vinh X. Lee Feb. 25, 1935 Feb. 4, 2021 Vinh X. Lee was a highly accomplished musician, performing at clubs and as a member of a traveling orchestra, as well as in the military band. He played a variety of instruments including trumpet, flute, piano and guitar. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and relocated his family to Travis AFB during the late 1970s. He worked as a chef in the Officer’s Club at Travis AFB and was an ads illustrator in the Daily Republic newspaper, while also illustrating window art for local businesses in downtown Fairfield. He also worked as a custodian for Sheldon Elementary School, but retired several years later due to lingering health issues.

Marc Christian Westerbur, 50, of Mountain Iron, went peacefully to be with his Lord on Feb. 2, 2021, at home with his family by his side. He resided in Mountain Iron, Minn., with his wife and children since 1995. Marc was born May 1, 1970, in Virginia, Minn., to his parents Ron and Bobbi (Pfremmer) Westerbur. He was raised in Virginia, and was a VHS Class of 1989 graduate. Marc loved playing football in high school. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., for two years playing football for the Cobbers and also attended Century College in White Bear Lake, Minn., where he studied to be a Certified Practitioner of Orthotics.

Kathleen F. “Kate” Irvin Kathleen F. “Kate” Irvin, 94, of Lock Haven passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at The Williamsport Home. She was the daughter of the late George and Loretta (Lovett) Buries. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Buries, and her sister, Mildred Kinley. Surviving is her brother, Leo (Ethel) Buries as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kate began working at Wolf Furniture Store as a teenager and remained employed there until her retirement. After retiring, she moved to Deerfield Beach, Fla. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Lodge and volunteered at the local hospital.
