No injuries or deaths were immediately reported, and officials did not offer any description of the suspected shooters.

Lockdown lifted at JBSA-Lackland after reported shots fired

UPDATE, 3:02 p.m. The lockdown at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland has been lifted after two reported shots fired off base on Wednesday afternoon, officials said. The base initially reported an active shooter at its base just before 1 p.m. via Twitter, stating all personnel should implement lockdown procedures immediately and take cover.   During a mid-afternoon press conference,Lt. Col. Brian Loveless with Lackland Air Force Base said the base received a call around 11:50 a.m. of possible gunshots fired, but cautioned the location is still under review. Loveless added they are currently investigating if the gunshots actually took place.  We do have solid reports that two gunshots were fired at the installation, he said.
