/PRNewswire/ Chubb today announced that Alexandra Waldman has been appointed Climate Sustainability Manager. Formerly the company s Senior Environmental Program Manager, Ms. Waldman in her newly created global role will help to identify and implement opportunities for climate-related products and services, encourage employee engagement in climate sustainability issues and establish an objective, metric-driven framework against which to measure progress of the company s sustainability initiatives.

Ms. Waldman will report to Paul Krump, Vice Chairman, Chubb Group, Global Underwriting and Claims. The appointment is effective immediately.

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) said today that Christopher Kastner, executive vice president and HII’s chief financial officer, has been promoted to a new position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Additionally, Thomas Stiehle, vice president and HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division CFO, has been promoted to executive vice president and CFO and will replace Kastner. Both Kastner and Stiehle will report directly to HII President and CEO Mike Petters. The changes are effective February 12, 2021.

Patching Still Poses Problems for Industrial Controllers, Networking Devices
More than 90% of devices that run popular embedded operating systems remain vulnerable to critical flaws disclosed more than a year ago.
Two families of critical vulnerabilities that impact operational technology (OT), embedded devices, and network hardware continue to undermine the security of the vast majority of originally affected devices because patching the issues has been glacially slow, according to a new research report by device-security firm Armis.
Using random sampling, the company checked the patch status of devices vulnerable to flaws affecting seven vulnerable embedded operating systems, including the widespread VxWorks, which it had disclosed in July and October 2019, finding that 97% of devices have not been updated to a patched version of the software.
