Murder charge filed in weekend stabbing in Englewood

File photo An Englewood man said he was defending himself when he stabbed his daughter-in-law’s boyfriend to death during a domestic dispute over the weekend. After stabbing 32-year-old Robert Webster Sunday morning, Anthony Moody ran to a nearby gas station, asked a clerk to call police and told a tow truck driver that Webster had tried to punch him, Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney James Murphy said Tuesday. Chicago police recovered the knife allegedly used to kill Webster from a garbage can at the gas station where 55-year-old Moody was taken into custody. The day before the stabbing, police officers were called to Moody’s home where he lives with his daughter-in-law and her children, including some of Moody’s grandchildren, Murphy said.

The results, published online on May 10 in Circadian rhythms are the internal 24-hour clock possessed by most organisms on earth, regulating a diversity of biological functions including sleep/wake cycles, hormone production, digestion and body temperature. Johnson, Chicago Tribune A 55-year-old Englewood man stabbed to death the 32-year-old boyfriend of his grandchildren’s mother Sunday morning in a dispute over the younger man’s children playing too raucously early in the day, prosecutors said Tuesday. Anthony Moody was arrested Sunday in the South Side neighborhood shortly after stabbing a 32-year-old in the neck in the 5600 block of South Peoria Avenue about 9:20 a.m., according to police. Moody fled shirtless and shoeless to a nearby gas station but was placed in custody soon after by responding officers, prosecutors said.

1 killed, 4 hurt Monday in Chicago shootings By Sun-Times Media Wire CHICAGO - Five people were shot, one fatally, Monday in Chicago including a man who was fatally shot and another stabbed during an incident in Austin on the West Side. The two men, 34 and 40, were inside the bedroom of a residence in the 700 block of North Leclaire Avenue about 8:55 p.m., when the incident occurred, Chicago police said. Police sources said the pair may have been playing dice, and it was unknown if anyone else was in the room.  The 40-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and leg and discovered inside the bedroom. He was transported to Stroger Hospital in where he was pronounced dead. The 34-year-old was stabbed in the chest, hand and leg. He was found in the backyard of the residence and transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition. Witnesses inside the residence did not see the incident but reported hearing shots and loud music.
