Seven people have been shot, at least three of the victims killed, after a shooting spree between Chicago and Evanston, according to Chicago police. A U of C student is among those killed.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting in September in Englewood, according to Chicago police.
About 2:45 a.m. Sept. 23, a 32-year-old man was found in the hallway of an apartment building in the 7300 block of South Yale Avenue, with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, police said.
He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
Dimarko Jones was arrested about 8:15 a.m. Thursday in the 10300 block of South Doty Avenue, after being positively identified as the person who allegedly fired shots at the man, police said.
Police said they were shot in a shooting spree by Jason Nightengale, 32. He went on to kill others before being killed himself in a shootout with police in Evanston.
