The 73-year-old was approached by two men who demanded his property and struck him in the head around 12:35 p.m. in the 5300 Block of South Kimbark, Chicago Police said. The man was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he died, police said. His name hasn’t been released. Chicago Fire Department spokesperson Larry Merritt said the man suffered cardiac arrest after being injured in a carjacking. Two persons of interest were taken to Area One for questioning, police said.
