MPs aghast as accident takes life of Eng. Nditiye
MEMBERS of Parliament yesterday mourned fallen Muhambwe Constituency MP and former deputy minister Eng Atashasta Nditiye (52) eulogizing him as a responsible leader and important member of the Local Authorities Accounts Committee.
Suspending the parliamentary session, Speaker Job Ndugai said Eng Nditiye passed away as he was receiving treatment at the Benjamin Mkapa referral hospital in Dodoma.
“Nditiye got in an accident on Wednesday 10 Feb 2021 at Nanenane area and was rushed to Dodoma regional referral hospital, before being transferred to the Benjamin Mkapa hospital for further treatment. He passed on Friday 12th February at 10.00am,” he said, noting further that Section 173 of the Parliamentary Standing Orders empower the Speaker to suspend the parliamentary session until the following day, hence Saturday at 9.00am.
