LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 13, 2021) – University officials announced on Thursday that campus community members (non-UK HealthCare faculty, staff and students) who have received the COVID-19 vaccine will not be required to complete the daily screener during the summer.
“At our Kroger Field Vaccine Clinic, we have administered nearly a quarter million doses of this life-saving medication,” UK President Eli Capilouto said in an email to campus. “As such, the stadium has been an engine of healing and hope, and its operations were made possible by thousands of members of our university and health care communities who have volunteered. It has fueled our progress toward returning to more normal operations and to the lives we long to share with loved ones, friends and colleagues”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 7, 2021) The University of Kentucky Kroger Field COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will transition its operations after May 14, following decreasing levels of COVID-19 vaccine demand.
Beginning Wednesday, May 19, on-campus vaccine operations will move to clinical and pharmaceutical settings operated by UK HealthCare. UK HealthCare pharmacy hours of operations are as follows:
Alumni Park Plaza, Tuesday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Individuals who still need to schedule boosters after May 14 can receive their second dose at one of the UK HealthCare pharmacies.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation is giving $250,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee to help meet the needs of community members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This gift provides additional support following the $500,000 the foundation awarded to Second Harvest in March.
Food banks across the state have been facing increased demand since the onset of the
pandemic, as many Tennesseans turn to them for support. While many organizations have been able to sustain operations throughout 2020, donations are leveling off and the beginning of 2021 remains uncertain.
