The High Court today expressed utmost dissatisfaction and disappointment with the Anti-Corruption Commission for the long delay in completing investigations in the cases over BASIC Bank loan scams. More than five years have passed but the Anti-Corruption Commission is yet to submit charge sheets (to the lower court) in the cases filed for BASIC Bank loan scams. Will the investigation continue for an indefinite period? the HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman said.

Police officials said the man went to the jewellery shop and put two bangles in his bag.

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court today halted the High Court bail for four accused in two separate cases filed over the killing of 26 Bangladeshis in Libya in May last year.
The four accused are Flyover Tours and Travels Ltd owners Sheikh Md Mahbubur Rahman, Sheikh Shahidur Rahman, Kauser Munshi and Mahbub Munshi.
The cases were filed with Paltan Police Station against the accused for their alleged involvement with trafficking a number of people to Libya, including the 26 who were killed on May 28, 2020.
Wanted by Interpol: 2 arrested over human trafficking

Two Bangladeshis wanted by Interpol on human trafficking charges were arrested by law enforcers in Bangladesh and Italy on Thursday, said investigators.
Jafor Ikbal, 38, of Kishoreganj, and Shahadat Hossain, 28, of Dhaka, stand accused in a human trafficking case filed in connection with the killings of 26 Bangladeshis in Libya last year.
Jafor was held in the Italian city of Cosenza, while police arrested Shahadat from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka upon his arrival from abroad, investigators added.
The two were put in Interpol s wanted-list along with four other Bangladeshi accused in the human trafficking case filed with Paltan Police Station in June last year.
