New Restaurant Coming to Shuttered Hudson Valley Diner
A new business is coming to the former Table Talk Diner.
In June the doors permanently closed at one of the Hudson Valley s most popular diners. The Table Talk Diner on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie announced that it would be shutting down after 10 years at the Spackenkill Plaza. Since then, the large restaurant has sat vacant.
Now it appears that a new restaurant will soon be moving in, but the project is surrounded by a little bit of mystery. Signs were erected this weekend for the E Crab Cajun Seafood and Bar on the empty restaurant as well as the plaza s sign on Route 9. The Table Talk s iconic red and white awnings have been also been changed, painted in a layer of dark blue paint. Crews were busy inside on Monday doing construction.

The burger from Ben s Fresh in the running to be named the best in New York State is called the Benny Burger. The eatery s website claims Ben s Fresh makes the Best Burgers in Town.

Movie and TV Superstar Visits Popular Poughkeepsie Restaurant
Hollywood on the Hudson. That’s what I either read or heard recently when somebody was referring to the Hudson Valley. I guess it’s kind of true. Not only are there several movies and television shows being filmed here in the Hudson Valley, we have our share of superstar residents. And superstar relatives of residents, as the case may be.
One superstar of movies and television has been seen a few times this week right in Poughkeepsie, and rumor has it that this star’s daughter is a student at Vassar College. Earlier this week, William H. Macy, famous for Fargo, Boogie Nights, and Showtime’s Shameless, was spotted at the Crafted Kup coffee shop on Raymond Avenue near Vassar College. He was most definitely a happy diner at Savona’s Trattoria on Collegeview Avenue, which overlooks Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. And here are the pictures to prove it.
