Tech firms rapid growth amid pandemic pushes up demand for office space

Technology, game development and e-commerce companies are scouring HCMC for office space as their requirements expand in step with surging growth.

A survey by
VnExpress found a property technology company has rent a 1,700-square-meter office building in District 11 with spaces for amusement and rest for employees working 24/7.
In an area close to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, offices with 300-500 square meters of space are leased by web development companies and property technology companies, most of them start-ups seeking shared office space.

VOV.VN - Six people, including an Indian expert, have been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus during the past 24 hours in Vietnam, bringing the national tally of coronavirus infections to 2,637, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The Indian man, 40, boarded flight 6E9471 to Vietnam’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on April 1.
He tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on April 3 and was transferred to HCM City’s Cu Chi field hospital for medical surveillance and treatment.
The other five Vietnamese patients returned to Vietnam from Japan and Angola.
All the patients were placed in quarantine as soon as they arrived in Vietnam, thus posing no risk to the community, said the MoH in its 18.00hrs update on April 5.
Lacking completed and synchronised transport infrastructure, as well as shortcomings in both education and healthcare, is the main reason for lowered attractiveness in Vietnam’s Southern Key Economic Region for financiers.

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on Wednesday announced the expansion of its regular flight schedules from Vietnamese airports to destinations in Japan, South Korea, and Australia over the next three months.
Specifically, an increase in regular flights from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport to Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan; Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea; and Sydney Airport in Sydney, Australia; as well as departures from Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport to Sydney Airport, was announced.
