COVID-19: Indian expert among 6 imported cases on April 5

Monday, 18:35, 05/04/2021 VOV.VN - Six people, including an Indian expert, have been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus during the past 24 hours in Vietnam, bringing the national tally of coronavirus infections to 2,637, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH). The Indian man, 40, boarded flight 6E9471 to Vietnam’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on April 1. He tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on April 3 and was transferred to HCM City’s Cu Chi field hospital for medical surveillance and treatment. The other five Vietnamese patients returned to Vietnam from Japan and Angola. All the patients were placed in quarantine as soon as they arrived in Vietnam, thus posing no risk to the community, said the MoH in its 18.00hrs update on April 5.
