Abu Dhabi: Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday claimed that India was planning to launch a surgical strike on the country in order to take away attention from its internal issues.
Qureshi made the claim at a press conference he addressed in Abu Dhabi while on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
The Pakistani minister made the remarks after his talks with the UAE leadership.

Islamabad, Dec 17 : In a phone call with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan called on all sides in the war-torn country for a reduction in violence so as to lead to the long-lasting ceasefire.
Khan made the appeal during call with Ghani on Wednesday, during which the two leaders discussed the progress in the ongoing Afghan peace process and strengthening of Islamabad-Kabul bilateral relations, Xinhua news agency quoted the Prime Minister s Office as saying in a statement.

Islamabad, Dec 17 : Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday embarked on a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for talks on bilateral matters, according to an official statement issued here.
The Foreign Ministry statement said Qureshi will hold discussions with the UAE leadership on all areas of mutual interest including regional and global issues, reports Xinhua news agency. The Foreign Minister will exchange views on bilateral cooperation, in particular, trade, investment and the welfare of Pakistani diaspora, it said.
