APP/File ISLAMABAD: The government will disburse Rs1.63 trillion over the next three years under the Kamyab Pakistan Programme (KPP) which will benefit over three million families. These figures were finalisedin an extensive consultative meeting presided over by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin, which made this programme one of the largest of its kind in the world. Loans will be offered to families with a cumulative average monthly income of less than Rs50,000 with priority to be given to beneficiaries of Ehsaas programme registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER).

JS Bank, PMRC join hands to make house financing accessible to all income groups July 8, 2021 KARACHI: The JS Bank and Pakistan Mortgage Refinance Company (PMRC) have worked in unison to further the objective of the Government of Pakistan and initiatives of State Bank of Pakistan in provision of low-cost and affordable house financing to all residents of the country. Through this agreement, PMRC is to provide concessional funds with a 10-year fixed rate to JS Bank clients, specifically the low- and middle-income groups as well as those in informal segments. The aim of this collaboration is to make house financing easier and more accessible for all segments bringing about financial inclusion as well as supporting growth in the housing sector.

SECP grants three house financing licences in FY2021 July 8, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has licenced three new housing finance companies during the last fiscal year of 2020/21 after one decade, it said on Wednesday. SECP said a revitalised house finance companies (HFC) will contribute in catering the huge demand of affordable housing finance in the country. The newly licenced HFCs include Pakistan Housing Finance Company Limited, Trellis Housing Finance Company Limited and Asaan Ghar Finance Limited. Prior to that, there has been no licenced HFC in existence, for the past one decade. “While cognisant of the huge gap in affordable housing finance space, the SECP in collaboration with Pakistan Mortgage Refinance Company and the World Bank Group started a comprehensive awareness campaign to highlight the opportunities for potential new entrants to tap this vast underserved market.”
