Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday claimed that India was planning a surgical strike on the country, reported the
Hindustan Times.
“I have learned through our intelligence sources and they have picked up this information that India is planning a surgical strike against Pakistan,” Qureshi said, while addressing a press conference at Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates. He, however, did not share any details about his source of information or the potential attack.
He also alleged that India was seeking “tacit approval” from other countries for the operation. “This is a serious development and I also have knowledge that they have tried to seek tacit approval from important players who they consider to be their partners,”

There was no firing from the Indian side in this sector today. Since movements of UN vehicles are known in advance, the question does not arise of any such firing. The allegations are baseless, said the sources.
Earlier, Pakistan had accused India of having specifically targeted a United Nations vehicle carrying two officers of the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) from across the Line of Control, Dawn reported.

JAMMU, Dec 16: Indian Army killed two Pakistan Army soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC) opposite the Nowshera sector in Jammu and Kashmir s Rajouri district, according to news agency ANI which quoted unnamed sources.
It said that according to sources, the incident happened on Tuesday. Two Pakistan Army soldiers were killed along LoC opposite Nowshera sector by Indian Army while retaliating to ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army there yesterday, ANI said quoting ‘sources’.
A statement by Pakistan army also confirmed that two Pakistani soldiers were killed in an exchange of fire with Indian troops at the LoC.
