He was addressing a meeting of exporters at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here on Saturday. SCCI President Qaisar Iqbal Baryar, Senior Vice President (SVP) Khurram Aslam Butt, Vice President (VP) Ansar Puri, Chairman AirSial Airline Fazal Jillani, Chairman Sialkot International Airline Limited (SIAL) Khwaja Masood Akhtar (Sitara Imtiaz), SCCI former presidents and a large number of business community members were also present.

Daily Times Ambassador-designate to Netherlands visits Sialkot on PRGMEA invitation July 6, 2021 Pakistan Ambassador-designate to the Netherlands Suljuk Mustansir Tarar has pledged to encourage Dutch investors to explore Pakistan for possible joint ventures and investment in conventional and non-conventional sectors, besides promoting new sectors and areas in exports to the Netherlands. The newly-appointed Pakistani envoy visited Sialkot on invitation of the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association where he held separate meetings at the Sialkot Chamber as well as at the PRGMEA to have detailed discussions on value-added industry’s of export-oriented city. Addressing the meeting at PRGMEA House, the Ambassador said that the efforts of PRGMEA in promoting value-added exports are commendable. He said that the purpose of his visit to Sialkot was to enhance contacts and exchange information for the promotion of trade between Pakistan and the Netherlands.

PDMEA demands zero rating for textile chain in textile policy National January 11, 2021 KARACHI: Chairman, Pakistan Denim Manufacturers and Exporters Association, (PDEMA), Shoaib Majeed, has supported the demand of the Advisor to the PM on Commerce, Abdul Razzak Dawood, for zero rating regime of the textile chain in National Textile Policy 2020-25, which would give quantum jump in country’s exports. The Chairman, PDMEA, has also endorsed the statements of Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association, (PRGMEA), for restoration of zero rating for textile sector, which would act as catalyst to enhance the exports. Majeed said we should in cash the opportunities of new export orders diverted towards Pakistan from India and Bangladesh. He requested to the prime minister & advisor on commerce to accept the long awaited demand of the exporters, which would ease their cash flow to get new orders.
